CARTER -- Reina Carter, age 87, and a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died peacefully, Saturday, April 22, 2006. Preceded in death by her husband, Amadeo, Reina is survived by her six children, Joseph, Amadeo and wife, Loretta, Dorella, Fred, Pauline, Jerry and wife, Nan; three sisters, Isabel Romero, Maggie Garcia, and Cathy Gutierrez; one brother, Beraldo Romero; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; other family members and friends who loved and will miss her. Services will be held at San Jose Parish, 2410 Broadway Blvd. SE, on Thursday, April 27, 2006. The visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Rosary being recited at 10:00 a.m., concluded by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Friday, April 28, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th St. NW, ABQ. 505-343-8008
