WARSCHAUER -- Ralph Morris Warschauer, born in Shanghai, China on January 16, 1942, died peacefully at home after a long illness on Monday, April 17, 2006 at 12:05 a.m. He was the only surviving son of Erwin and Eva Warschauer, both deceased. He is survived by his loving wife, Easter; his brother-in-law and thoughtful caregiver, Rusty Girard, both of the family home; and his beloved aunt, Irene Van Biema of Forest Hills, NY; and only surviving cousin, Renee Berson of New Jersey. Also surviving are his children, Susan Pisano of Baiting Hollow, NY; Patrica Sanchez of Los Lunas, NM; Denise Stump-Laughery of El Cajon, CA; Jill Warschauer of Rio Rancho, NM; Roger Hall and wife, Susan of Los Lunas, NM; Rodney Hall and wife, Carla of Albuquerque, NM. He was preceded in death by his sons, Carl Lee Hall in 1994 and Randy Hall-Warschauer in 2002. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild to-be; as well as very special friends: Jessie, Marina, Katelynn Brooke and Brianna Randi Zamora. In 1977, Ralph changed the lives of countless people when he married Easter Hall. Combining his three daughters and her five children, they created a home full of love, laughter, and many happy memories. Times were not easy for this gentle giant of a man, working sometimes twelve hour days to support his family. With the guidance and love of his wife, Easter, they somehow, always seemed to create the stability that was needed in such a large, sometimes challenging family, with children ranging in ages of 2 through 13. Throughout the years, he would casually ask if the children would like to go to dinner. This was usually early on a Saturday morning. His children quickly learned to say yes, because it usually meant a trip to Tucson or Amarillo for a nice steak dinner. Often times, these trips were completed the same day. Where ever Ralph was, you could rest assured there was never a dull moment. When his health slowed him down and forced him into retirement, he would relax at home with his favorite doggies, Lucky and Daisy or his Baby-cat. Everyday, he looked forward to spending time with his family. Family visitation was held on Monday, April 17, 2006 at Strong-Thorne Mortuary located at 1100 Coal SE. A Remembrance Service was held at the family home on Tuesday, April 18, 2006. Final interment will be at Fairview Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Ralph's memory to the Heartland Hospice Memorial Fund, 10801 Lomas Blvd. NE, Suite 110, Albuquerque, NM 87112; (505) 323-1464.
