WALCOTT -- A. Ruth Walcott passed away Thursday, March 30, 2006. She was born February 10, 1931 to Wilber and Mary Pharris in Alamogordo, NM. Ruth married Bob Walcott in 1949 and they settled in Albuquerque to raise their family. Ruth inspired her family and friends with her calming strength and generous nature - always ready to lend her hands to help anyone who called upon her. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Bob; and her children: Betty Sanders and husband, Harold, Bobbie Rebecca Thompson and husband, Bill. Ben Walcott and wife, Shauna, Bari Arias and husband, Mark, and Barbara Bergmann and husband, Jeff; brothers, Jim Pharris, Charles Pharris and wife, Karen. Ruth was "Granny" to ten grandchildren: Jill Salley, Maya Githens, Josh Sanders, Jesse Arias, Evan Thompson, Kristin Walcott, Emilie Walcott, Lauren Arias, Brent Thompson, and Jonathan Bergmann; three great-grandchildren: Elora Walcott, Jackson Walcott Sanders, and soon to arrive, Ben Salley. She also leaves many special nieces and nephews, including Anett Sauve, Sharon Hunt, and Jennifer Wells. She will be deeply missed by all her family, friends, and those whose lives she touched.
