CUNEO -- Connie Vassalo Cuneo, 85, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2006. Connie was born September 21, 1920, the daughter of Pietro and Josephine Cina Vassalo in Huntington Long Island, NY. She was a twin and the youngest of 10 children. Connie always provided a safe home for her family and she is now safely home in the arms of our Lord. She was a great Mom who will be missed in many ways and loved always. Connie is survived by three children, Robert J. Cuneo of Albuquerque, NM, Joyce M. Barkocy of Albuquerque, NM, and Carol A. Holm of Clearwater Beach, FL; five grandchildren, Tim Barkocy and wife, Laura of Monument, CO, Kevin Barkocy and wife, Marybeth of Albuquerque, NM, Vincent Cuneo of Brentwood, TN, Jason Gander and wife, Blythe of Austin, TX, and Gina Cuneo of Albuquerque, NM; five great-grandchildren, Dominic Cuneo, Brianna Barkocy, Emily Barkocy, Nathan Barkocy, and Jack Barkocy; and her oldest sister, Josie Campo, 98, of New York. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho with Reverend Andrew J. Pavlak, O.P. officiating. Ennichement will be in Vista Verde Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Connie's name to Hospice of New Mexico, 4015 Carlisle NE, Suite E, Albuquerque, NM 87107 or the Make-A-Wish Foundation, 144 Louisiana NE, Albuquerque, NM 87108.
