VROOMAN -- Lyndon "Dutch" Vrooman, 60, a resident of Rio Rancho since the fall of 1990, passed away March 28, 2006. Dutch was preceded in death by his mother and father, Floyd and Shirley Vrooman. Dutch is survived by his wife, Nancy; stepchildren, James M. Sortomme Jr. and wife, Laurelle of Ignacio, CO; Steven C. Sortomme and wife, Carol of El Paso, TX, and Karen Miller of Kanab, UT; sisters, Daphna Williams and husband, Darrell of Hannawa Falls, NY; Gertie Critelli and husband, Frank of Niagara Falls, NY; Faustina Perri of Niagara Falls, NY, and Maxine Elstrodt of Ransomville, NY; five nephews; one niece; and many great-nieces and nephews; six grandchildren, Levi, Rachel, Cody, Erik, Andrea, and Heather; and one great-grandchild, Annalyse. Dutch was a life member of VFW Post #5890. Services will be held on Monday, April 3, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Sunrise Funeral Options - West.
