TAYLOR -- Alice S. Taylor, 86, passed away on March 26, 2006 in Albuquerque. Mrs. Taylor was born in Magdalena, NM and attended St. Mary's in Silver City, and graduated from high school in Reserve. She is survived by her husband Paul R. Taylor; a son, Doil Galen Miller, of McIntosh, NM; daughters, Gwen E. Lustig, of El Paso, TX, and Anita S. Urie and husband, Alvin, of Roseville, CA; stepchildren, Barbara Joan Winslow and husband, Manton, of Albuquerque, Betty Jane Collett, of Vermillion, SD, and Patricia L. Fine, of Albuquerque; 15 grandchildren and step-grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren. A lifelong resident of New Mexico, she married Douglas Doil Miller in 1939. He passed away in 1984. She then married Paul R. Taylor in 1986. She had worked as a nurse, and for the State of New Mexico as a Social Services Transcriber. She also worked in El Paso at the Vietnamese School. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting, and with her husband Paul, made special Christmas gifts. She was an active member of the Manzano Ward and, most recently, City View Ward of the L.D.S. Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Mexico Humane Society in Silver City, NM or the Alzheimer's Association, 640 Jackson Street, St. Paul, MN 55101. A Visitation will be from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2006 at Sunrise Funeral Options, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 31, 2006 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - City View Ward, 12800 Indian School Rd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87112.
