DAVIS -- Keither J. Davis, age 87, a resident of Belen, NM, passed away on March 9, 2006. Keither served proudly in the military in World War II. He graduated from Encino High School and obtained his masters degree in Biology from Highlands University. Keither retired after many years of teaching, working as a Science teacher at Belen High School and teaching in the rural schools in Springer, Mountainair, Ewing, Martinez, and Estancia, NM. Keither loved to play golf and he was an avid horse lover. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter J. and Laura Davis of Belen; a sister, Lillian Berrett of Belen. Keither is survived by three sisters, Oma Poole of Floydada, TX, Ethel "Johnnie" Lassiter of Belen, and Lois Bullard of Abilene, TX. Services will be held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel on March 11, 2006 beginning with a visitation at 1:30 p.m. followed by a funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Terrace Grove Cemetery.
