MARTINEZ -- Mr. Vivian S. Martinez Sr., 91, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully at home in the arms of his loving family on March 3, 2006. Mr. Martinez is the beloved father to Eutimia R. Casiano and husband, Luis, Vivian T. Martinez Jr. and wife, Susan, Robert A. Martinez and wife, Trinidad, Daniel D. Martinez and wife, Virginia Ann, Joe (Iggy) Martinez and wife, Alma and Jean Spurgeon. He is also survived by three sisters, Lorencita Griego, Celia Spurlin, Tersila (Terry) Garcia and husband, Ross; one brother, Antonio Martinez and wife, Alice; 18 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Martinez was preceded in death by his wife, Frances and two daughters, Armelina and Eduvigen. Mr. Martinez was a member of the Catholic Church. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel from 3:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. with a Eulogy at 4:00 p.m. and the Rosary to follow by Gabriella Nieto. Final visitation will be Monday morning from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. by Father Jim Huth. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Richard Zubia, Matthew Zubia, Chris Martinez, Paul Martinez, Phil Martinez and David Wereko. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Luna, R.V. Zubia, Matthew Zubia II, Thomas Martinez, Carl Martinez, Steve Martinez and Jude Giron. Arrangements by: Gabaldon Mortuary 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW 243-7861
