FLOREN -- Arlie Milton Floren, 84, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on December 20, 2005 at home. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Nadine Brown Floren; two daughters, Arline Proctor and husband, Jim, of Flemington, NJ, and Leola Gee and husband, Wyatt, of Farmington Hills, MI; grandsons Arlie, Jerry, and Christopher; granddaughter Lauren; three great-grandchildren, Patrick, Jarrett, and Alexis; a brother; three sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews. Originally from South Dakota, he worked at Lockheed Aircraft in California during World War II, where he met his future wife. He served two years in the U.S. Army, most of it in Italy, and he and Nadine eventually settled in her home state of New Mexico. He worked as an auto mechanic at the Nash garage and then for Galles Motor Company as well as an independent shop. He retired from Galles in 1984. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 4, 2006, 11:00 a.m., at Heights First Church of the Nazarene, 8401 Paseo Del Norte NE, with Dr. William Nielson officiating. Visitation with the family will follow the service until 1 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mayo Foundation (Department of Development), 200 First Street SW, Rochester, MN 55905.
