SMITH -- Roy Lee Smith, 76, continued his journey on February 15, 2006 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marjorie Smith; children, Van Smith, Karen Harrison, son-in-law, Guy Harrison, Becky Grevas; daughter-in-law, Norma Jean Gordon; eight grandchildren, Sunshine Smith, Michael Smith, Rosalind Moreno, Heather Smith, Joshua Harrison, Krista Harrison, Justin Smith, Cody Harrison; four great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, Leon, Dylan, Robert John Jr.; brothers, Bob Smith and wife, Carol; sister-in-law Sharon Smith; brother, Henry Smith and wife, Jenny; sister, Patsy and husband, Dick; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends; and a dog, Junior. He is preceded in death by a son, Mark Anthony Smith in 1990; his best friend, Odie, in 2005; his mother, Margaret; his father, Vance; a sister Phyllis; and a brother Dean. Roy was born on November 12, 1929 in Columbia, MO to Vance and Margaret Smith. Roy was an active member of Heights Christian Church. He served honorably in the United States Army and was retired from Cargill. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.
