MCGOWEN -- Frances May McGowen died on Monday, February 13, 2006, in Albuquerque, NM. She is survived by her husband, Ferry H. McGowen; sons, Larry D. Smith, and wife, Sonja of Albuquerque, NM; Ronald G. Dawkins of St. Louis, MO; and David L. Smith, and wife, Kim of New Castle, CO; grandchildren, Lisa Duitsman, and husband, Paul; James Smith, and wife, Becky; Matthew Smith, and wife, Linda; Daniel Smith; Chase Dawkins; Jay Dawkins; Jessica Smith, and husband, Joe; and Joshua Smith; eight great-grandchildren; and sister, Inez M. Ogden, of Champaign, IL. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Louis R. Dyson, and Ernest Dyson, both of Champaign, IL. Frances was born on Saturday, April 20, 1918. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, February 15, 2006, at 2 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. Interment will follow at Sandia Memory Gardens.
