RODRIGUEZ -- Joseph Donald (Don) Rodriguez, lifelong resident of Santa Fe, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2006. Don worked many years for the U.S. Postal Service, many years at Eberline Instrument Corp., and also worked and retired from the State of NM Department of Public Safety. After leaving the U.S. Postal Service, he completed his studies with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the College of Santa Fe in 1963. He served in the Merchant Marines and the U.S. Army. Don was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Frances Rodriguez; in-laws, Oliver and Louise Padilla; grandson, Mark Joseph Rodriguez; sister-in-law, Ann Dix and Raquel Aranda; and brother-in-law, Murray Catanach. He is survived by his loving wife, Olivia (Ollie) Rodriguez; sons, Peter Rodriguez and wife, Krista, Don (Mac) Rodriguez and wife, Lynda; and daughter, Sandra and husband, Eddie Trujillo. He is also survived by grandchildren, Donald Rodriguez and wife, Michelle, Edward, Robert, and Pablo Trujilllo; great-grandchildren, DJ Rodriguez, Candace Payne, Alaya Trujillo, Ethan Trujillo, and Brandie Rodriguez; brother, Vernon Rodriguez and wife, Cecelia; sisters-in-law, Lou Catanach, Rosalie Herrera and husband, Carl, Kathy Martinez; brothers-in-law, Oliver Padilla, Richard (Buzzy) Padilla and wife, Emma, Joey Padilla, Ray Aranda; and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are grandsons, Donald Rodriguez, Edward Trujillo, Robert Trujillo, Pablo Trujillo, great-grandson, DJ Rodriguez and godson, Nick Aranda. Visitation will be Thursday at January 5, 2006, at 6:00 p.m., at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m., also at Cristo Rey. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, January 6, 2006, at 10:00 a.m., also at Cristo Rey Church. A private burial will be held at a later date.
