LOGUERCIO -- John S. LoGuercio, 76, a resident of Rio Rancho, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2006. John was born March 10, 1929, the son of Stefano and Jean Saggio LoGuercio in South Ozone Park, NY. He became an accomplished jazz pianist going on to work with such names as Jack Jones, Vic Damone, Buddy Greco, Jerry Wale, and Frank Sinatra, Jr. Moving to New Mexico in 1968, he founded Numex Industries which was also the first business in the Rio Rancho Ind. Park. During this period he began selling and restoring exotic cars such as Ferraris, Maseratis, and Lamborghinis. This too, became a most successful endeavor. More important to him was his love for his family. He liked nothing better than when his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren got together every week for dinner and good times. This continued right up to the end of his life. John believed in helping those less fortunate, feeling that "God allowed me to be successful for a reason." Quick with a reply, John always had a warm smile or a word of advice. He always gave 110 % and believed anything less was "spinning your wheels." He leaves behind a legacy that will only continue to grow, which is what he would have wanted. He will be sorely missed by friends and family alike. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stefano and Jean LoGuercio; and one son, John Robert LoGuercio. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ann; two sons, Steve LoGuercio and wife Debbie, and Michael LoGuercio; grandchildren, Dawn LoGuercio, John LoGuercio and wife, Raquel, Dyan Barela and husband, Carlos; great grandchildren, Dylan and Justin Eavenson and Ava Barela; former daughter-in-law Mary and husband, Freddie Dodrill. The Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2006 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. with the Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 5, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Rd., Rio Rancho. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Albuquerque. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 505 N. Parkway, Memphis, TN 38101. Also, the family would like to thank friends and family members for their love and support during this difficult time. Arrangements by Vista Verde Mortuary Rio Rancho, New Mexico 892-9920
