ABBIN -- Elenora (Lonnie) Lorraine Abbin, 59, a life-long resident of Albuquerque, passed away after an extended illness on Sunday, January 1, 2006. She was the daughter of Violet Sorensen McCafferty and Orvel McCafferty. She is survived by her mother, Violet; brothers, Eugene McCafferty and Lance Foderaro; daughters, Barbara Abbin and Brenda Repichowski; son, Thomas Abbin and wife, Dianne of Rio Rancho; five grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Joe Abbin of Albuquerque. Lonnie was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Thomas J. Abbin Sr. They were married at our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Lonnie was employed as a physical education teacher at Queen of Heaven Catholic School and then later in the food business, eventually as an award-winning caterer for Honeywell/Sodexo prior to her illness. Lonnie was an outstanding mother and friend to all. She always had her doors open to any and all that needed help. She always inspired trust and confidence in her family, friends and co-workers. When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure. Services will be held at Church of the Risen Savior 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE, on Thursday January 5, 2006 at 3:00 p.m.
