FLORES -- Ana M. Flores, a resident of Thoreau, NM, went to be with our Lord, Jesus Christ, Monday, December 19, 2005 at 0745 a.m. Ana was born September 26, 1935 in Ahuisculco, Jalisco, a small beautiful village in Mexico she spoke of in memory of her dear father, Jesus Moran. Ana, the owner of The Bull Pen Restaurant in Thoreau, pioneered her way from Sacramento, CA to Thoreau, NM, in hopes of opening her own business. She, along with an investor and friend, believed in her vision and helped begin her dream on October 10, 1991. Ana enjoyed traveling, hiking, climbing trees and meeting with her friends and family. Ana was preceded in death by her brothers, Silvino and Marcelino; sisters, Lupe, Consuelo, Irene, and Ana. Survivors include her former husband, Martin L. Flores; her sons, Joseph, Javier, and David of Sacramento, CA; her daughters, JoAnna and Julie of Thoreau, NM; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; other family members and friends in California and New Mexico who loved and will miss her. A Memorial Service will be conducted at the First Baptist Church in Thoreau, NM, on Saturday, December 24, 2005 at 0900 a.m. Pastor Bob Brittain will officiate.
