PLACENCIO -- Albert L. Placencio died Thursday, December 1, 2005 in Albuquerque at the age of 82. Mr. Placencio was born and raised in Gila and later moved to Albuquerque to work for the City of Albuquerque, and retired in 1982. Mr. Placencio was a longtime parishioner and usher at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Albert is survived by his wife, Sara C. Placencio. He was preceded in death by his father, Jacinto; and mother, Rosario Placencio; brothers, Eduardo and Ramon; and sister, Emma Chacon; daughter, June; sons, Chris Placencio, Alonso Placencio, Raul Morales, Abraham Morales; and grandson, Frank Fair III. Also survived by children, Albert O. Placencio Jr. and wife, Roberta, Jack O. Placencio, Rose Madrid and husband, Arturo, Pete Placencio, Jacinto Placencio and wife Lola, Abraham Placencio, and Sarah Placencio. He had 23 grandchildren: Catalina, Veronica, Victoria, Albert III, Roseanne, Matthew, Monique, Christina, Junelle, Jacob, Pete, Shirae, Joshua, Janessa, Melissa, Aaron, Breana, Samantha, Francisco, Carlos, Gabriel, Angelica and Robert Jr.; two sisters, Crecencia Dominguez and Lucia Geist; and 25 great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces, and friends. Visitation for Mr. Placencio will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2005 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December, 5, 2005 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be A.J. Chavez Jr., Albert Placencio III, Christopher Eyster, Aaron Placencio, Monique Garcia, Gabriel Medrano, Breana Placencio, and Pete Trujillo-Placencio. Honorary Pallbearers will be Eduardo O. Placencio, Merjildo O. Placencio, Matthew Fair, Jacob Placencio, Joshua Placencio, Carlos Sanchez-Placencio, Shirae Placencio, Christina Fair, Jose Garcia, Jon Bouldin, Herman Sierra, Frankie Fair III, Joseph Silva, and Jesse Martinez.
