BETTINGER -- Minna Fagg Frey Bettinger, 107, entered eternal life on Monday, November 14, 2005. She was born on June 16, 1898 to Elbert Fagg and Molly Kelly Fagg in Oklahoma Indian Territory and then lived for fifty years in Baxter Springs, KS. There she managed a jewelry store and began her lifelong interest in Duplicate Bridge. Moving to Albuquerque in 1953, she worked at Burke's Prescription Center and also became a Life Master of the American Contract Bridge League. Minna was predeceased by her daughter and son-in-law, Rhea and Ted Burke; her sister, Winefred Fellows; and her niece, Virginia Higgins. She is survived by her granddaughter, Patricia Burke Guggino and husband, Laurence of Los Lunas; her grandson, Victor Kelly Burke and wife, Patricia of San Antonio, TX; seven great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. Minna was generous hearted, a wonderful cook and fun loving woman with an ornery sense of humor. She brought enthusiasm for life to all who knew her. Visitation and services celebrating Minna's long life will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery Chapel, 7999 Wyoming Blvd. NE on Tuesday, November 22, 2005. The visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow. Pallbearers will be Laurent Othart, Larry Guggino, Sr, Larry Guggino, Jr. Joshua, Patrick and Shaun Patrick Guggino. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th ST. NW. ABQ. 505-343-8008
