SPRADLEY -- Ruth Hazel Spradley, 84, a resident of Albuquerque, and McIntosh, NM, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2005. Ruth was born June 29, 1921, the daughter of Roy Herbert and Grace Hazel Kuester Nunn in Houston, TX . She had been a music teacher in the Santa Fe schools and was a real estate agent in Albuquerque. Ruth was an active member of her church, and a charter member of The Young at Heart Choir. Ruth was a passionate gardener who made the desert and every place she ever lived blossom. She received her Bachelor of Arts at Baylor University, and her Master of Arts from the New Mexico Highlands University. She married Charles Spradley in 1943 and after WWII they moved to New Mexico where Ruth added ranch life to her city upbringing. Ruth is survived by one son, James Spradley and wife, Eloise of Albuquerque; two daughters, Dianne Jernigan of McIntosh, NM, and Carol Spradley of Albuquerque; four grandchildren, Kelly Loveland and husband, Mike of Edgewood, NM, Maureen Jernigan of McIntosh, NM, Daniel Spradley and Grace Spradley, both of Albuquerque; and four great-grandchildren, Brianne, Brittany, Cameron, and Victoria Lewis. The Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2005 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. at the Sandia Baptist Church, 9429 Constitution Ave. NE, Albuquerque. Private Graveside will be in Vista Verde Memorial Park. It has been suggested by the family that Memorial contributions be made in Ruth's name to The Young at Heart Choir.
