COUSINS -- Elizabeth E. "Aunt Betty" Cousins, 88, a resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, November 5, 2005. Those who live on to remember her are her daughter, Dorothy Scrivner; son-in-law, Larry Green; grandson, Andy Green and wife, Lisa; granddaughter, Tammy Green; many great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson, Sebastian; and many other caring family members and friends. She is welcomed home by her husband, Robin D. "Bob" Cousins; parents, Thomas and Jessie English; sister, Mary Summers; daughter, Marian Jones; son-in-law, Bill Scrivner; many other dear friends, family members and a host of angels. Elizabeth English was born Tuesday, February 13, 1917 in Carson City, NV. She lived in various parts of the Southwest before moving to Gallup, NM. At the age of nine, she met her future husband, Robin D. Cousins. In 1936 they were married and she became Mrs. Elizabeth E. Cousins. She immediately set to work in the family trading business, where she spent the next 39 years. She worked behind the counters and in the hearts, through five generations of family and customers. Betty was a lifetime member of Eastern Star. She was loved and known by all as "Aunt Betty" because she was our doctor, our teacher, our advisor, and best friend. Betty made the whole community her family, and now she has gone on to be with an even larger family. "Well Done Good And Faithful Servant." Services will be held Thursday, November 10, 2005, 1:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE with Pastor Herbert Francisco officiating. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Ethridge, James Norton, Mitch Green, Sam Norton, Jr., Perry Francisco, Harlyn Francisco and Tom Wheatley. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 624 Menaul Blvd. NE. Friends may visit Wednesday, November 9, 2005, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 12, 2005, 1:00 p.m. at Gallup Christian Church, 501 South Cliff Drive in Gallup, NM. The family invites you to join them for a gathering of family and friends immediately following the service.
