HERRERA -- MARCELINO. Mr. Marcelino Herrera, 79, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on October 27, 2005. Mr. Herrera is the beloved husband to Mrs. Benilda Herrera, married for 57 years. He is also survived by his loving children, Nancy Velasquez and husband, Robert, Norma Chavira and husband, Ralph, Mel Herrera, Norine Moreno, Loretta Herrera, Doris Chavez and husband, Charles, Pauline Martinez and Sheila Duron; three sisters, Agnes Sanchez and husband, Urbano, Florence Bartles and husband, Stan, Dorothy Shumway and husband, Lynn; four brothers, Marvin Herrera and wife, Kathy, Roy Herrera, Paul Herrera and wife, Helen and Moroni Herrera; 26 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mr. Herrera was a member of the Catholic Church and a Veteran of the United States Army serving in World War I I. A visitation for Mr. Herrera will be Sunday afternoon at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5310 Claremont Ave. NW from 3:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 3:30 p.m. by Hermanos de Nuestro Padre Jesus. A final visitation will be Monday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. with Military Honors by the United States Army. Pallbearers will be Steve Candelaria, Chris Candelaria, Robert Velasquez Jr., Richard Corona, Moroni Herrera and Julian Herrera. Honorary pallbearers will be James Martinez and Michael Chavira.
