HORNER -- FRANKLIN G. It is with deepest sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Franklin G. Horner on Monday, October 24, 2005. Frank was born in Bonita, TX. He served in the Army Special Services with the USO in Korea. An accomplished pianist, Frank played the Grand Ole Opry Circuit with Red Foley and other notable musicians. After moving to Albuquerque, Frank met and married Lynda Fairey. Frank retired as a Senior Systems Analyst from Bank of America. In his retirement years, Frank enjoyed entertaining residents of local nursing and assisted living homes. A loving husband, brother, father, grandfather and friend, Frank will be forever missed and never forgotten by his loving wife, Lynda R. Horner; devoted sons, Franklin G. Horner, Jr. (Nanette Ely-Davies) and Mark W. Horner (Cecilia); cherished grandchildren, Joel Franklin Horner, Lucas Gabriel Horner, Ashleigh M. Davies, and Charles M. Davies; sister, Elna Jarrard; and countless relatives, friends, and neighbors. Some people come into our lives and then quickly go. Some friends become friends and stay a while leaving beautiful footprints on our hearts and we are never quite the same because we had a good friend. Yesterday is history, tomorrow a mystery, today is a gift. That's why it's called the present. Services will be held Saturday, October 29, 2005, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel on Friday, October 28, 2005 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Interment will take place on Monday, October 31, 2005, 11:30 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM. French Mortuary, Inc. 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE (505) 823-9400
