RASMUSSEN -- Reta R. Rasmussen, 70, of Rio Rancho, NM, formerly of Geneseo, IL died Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerquem, NM. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Oct. 28, 2005 (Friday) at Oakwood Cemetery, Geneseo, IL. Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Services, Geneseo, IL are assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to a favorite animal shelter. Reta was born September 12, 1935 in Moline, IL, the daughter of Charles and Adella (Means) Rasmussen. She graduated from Geneseo High School and from St. Anthony's Hospital School of Nursing in Rock Island. She had worked as an obstetrics nurse in Albuquerque for many years. She enjoyed painting and doing craft work. She is survived by her sister Lily Cherry; and brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Janice Rasmussen, all of Geneseo, IL; seven nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and -nephews.
