CARUSO -- E. John Caruso of Albuquerque, NM, died Wednesday, October 12, 2005, of pneumonia. Born in Pittsford, NY March 7, 1923, to Peter Caruso and Rachel Sirianni Caruso, he served in the south pacific during WWII and went on to earn a B.S. in chemistry from Ohio U. and M.B.A. from Cornell. Self-employed as a chemical sales consultant, he ran E. J. Caruso Corp. until his death. Ever interested in community service, he was actively involved personally, and as a generous contributor, in numerous causes including education, arts, religious and political organizations. A lifetime member of the RNC, he most recently served on the board of Musical Theatre Southwest, as a member of the New Mexico Governors Mansion Foundation, and belonged to the Rio Grand Jazz Society. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Joseph; and a sister, Frances; by his first wife, Elizabeth Ann Lucas; and second wife, Ellen Montgomery. He is survived by his sister, Yolanda Engel and brother, Emilio of Rochester, NY; son, Peter Lucas Caruso of Woodinville, WA; and daughter, Mary Pat Caruso of Albuquerque; two step-children, Bridget Graham and John Gallette; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many, many friends. Memorial Service will be held October 29, 2005 at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Albuquerque.
