MONTOYA -- Abran Montoya went to be with our Father in Heaven on October 13, 2005. He served in the U.S. Army and was a carpenter by trade. He loved the Lord and reading the Bible. He always made sure to pray for his family and friends. He also encouraged education to all his family. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Olivia Gonzales; son, Julian Montoya; Mother and Father Terecita, and Ricardo Montoya; and his brothers, Joe Montoya, Orlando Montoya, and Bonifacio Montoya. He is survived by his wife, Margarita Montoya; daughters, Rita Montoya of California, Cecilia Jaramillo of Bernalillo and Georgina and husband, Archie Valencia of Bernalillo; sons Telesfor (Paul) Montoya, Gene Montoya, Nick Montoya, Richard Montoya, and Leonard Montoya; brothers Richard (Lalo) Montoya of Bernalillo; several grand, great and great-great grandchildren; and several extended family and friends. A viewing will be held on Monday October 17, 2005 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Alameda Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday October 18, 2005, at 12:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church with Father Bill Sanchez.
