HERRERA -- Fernando Herrera, age 80, was born March 1, 1925. A longtime resident of Carnuel, he passed away, Wednesday, September 28, 2005. Fernando was a kind man who thoroughly enjoyed ranching and taking care of his animals. He was preceded in death by his wife Lucia G. Herrera and his son, Domingo F. Herrera. Fernando is survived by his son, Jose F. Herrera and his wife, Yolanda M. Herrera; four grandchildren, Phillip J. Herrera, Raquel M. Herrera, Julie Crisp, and Margie Bordeaux; three great-grandchildren, Dominic, Kiana, and Alysha Herrera; three sisters, Sebastiana Sanchez, Venerita Nieto, and Dora Martinez; brother, Clorovio Herrera; four sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. Services and viewing will be held at Holy Child Parish in Carnuel, NM. A viewing will begin at 6:30 p.m. and Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 3, 2005. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2005. Burial will follow at the Barton Cemetery in Edgewood.
