HARVEY -- Robert DeForest Harvey, a resident of Albuquerque, was born in Dayton, OH, Friday, April 20, 1923, and passed away on Monday, September 26, 2005. He is survived by his daughters, Sandra Mitchell and husband, Ron of Taylor, MI, Deborah Haddy and husband, Michael of Phoenix, AZ, Beverly Harvey and husband, Ron of Arvada, CO, and Carol DelSanto of Albuquerque; sons, Robert Harvey and wife, Georgia of Oakboro, NC, John Harvey and wife, Dawn of Avondale, AZ and David DelSanto of Albuquerque; 18 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Mr. Harvey was preceded in death by his wife, Phyliss Harvey; father, Ulysses Harvey; and mother, Oletha Lafferty. Robert married Phyliss Jean Fitzgerald on April 28, 1944 in Sioux City, IA. As a military man of the Greatest Generation, he traveled with his family all over the world and has resided in Albuquerque for the last 32 years after retiring from a 30- year US Air Force career and a 10 year Civil Service career. Robert leaves a legacy of dedicating his life to his wife, family, and country. He was member of the Fellowship Baptist Church. A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2005 at 3:00 p.m., at Fellowship Baptist Church, 414 Charleston SE, with Dr. Adams officiating.
