THOMPSON -- Ernest Thompson, 60, resident of Albuquerque since 1956, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2005 surrounded by his family after a valiant battle with cancer. He was a devoted father, avid reader, attended Albuquerque and Valley High Schools, and was in the first graduating class at TVI. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Thompson, of Crystal, NM. He is survived by his mother, Naomi Becenti of Rehobth Mission, NM; brother, Lee Thompson and wife, Sandra of Albuquerque; brother, Dr. Francis Becenti and wife, Joanne of Vander Wagon; sisters, Faith Bitsie of Tohatchi and Pricilla Becenti of Ft. Wingate; his sons, Ernest Adrian, Fred Allen, and Anthony Ray Thompson; daughter, Ernestina Trujillo of Cochiti; grandsons, Christopher and Anthony; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. in Gallup at Cope Mortuary. Pallbearers are Ernest Thompson, Fred Thompson, Anthony Thompson, Lee Thompson, Leroy Thompson Jr., Robert "Robbie" Becenti, Teddy Cunejo and Ray Pinto.
