WHITLOW -- Stella Mae Whitlow, 103, a beloved sister and aunt, passed to a new life on Thursday, September 15, 2005. She was born August 28, 1902 to Lon and Annie Norman Whitlow in Bartlett, TX. She was a beloved daughter and teacher who started teaching in a two-room school and later taught 2nd grade in Taylor, TX for 45 years. After retirement, Stella was a valuable member of the Bartlett, TX community, helping to establish the Bartlett Public Library and enrolling her town in the Texas Highway Wildflower Seeding Program. After moving to Albuquerque in 1998, she enjoyed being near her sister, Bobbie Walters; niece, Ann Robinson; grandniece, Barbara Robinson of Boulder, CO. Her extended family includes her brother, Bud Whitlow of Belton, TX; and nephews, Pat Walters of Belton, TX, Jim Walters of Denver, CO, Duane Whitlow of Kerrville, TX, Bunky Whitlow of Round Rock, TX; grand-nieces, Wendy and Bethie Walters of Denver, CO; and many relatives in Texas. Special thanks to Odyssey Health Care for their compassionate care. A Gathering will be held at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Monday, September 18, 2005, 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Graveside Services will be held at Bartlett Cemetery on Saturday, October 8, 2005, 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Stella Whitlow Memorial Fund, Granger National Bank, P.O.
