SPERRY -- Dr. Kay M. Sperry, 89, of Albuquerque, died September 7, 2005. She is survived by daughter, Kate B. Showers; grandson, Christopher Showers; sister, Jane Eisenstat; and brother, Cmdr. F.M. Sperry. Born in Chicago, IL, but attended Philadelphia H.S. for Girls, Blockley School of Nursing, and University of Pennsylvania. She served as an officer in the Army Nurses Corp. during WWII. After the war, she attended Columbia University and NYU. She later received her PhD from the University of Maryland. She worked for several years at the state hospital in Las Vegas, NM. Cremation has taken place, and entombment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA at a future date, yet to be determined.
