CUMMINGS -- Verlin Dale Cummings Sr., a resident of Albuquerque since 1961, passed away on July 25, 2005. Verlin was born in Enid, OK on February 27,1932. He moved to Albuquerque to work for his brother supplying materials to the Construction Industry. Verlin worked 37 years in the door and hardware business and was well known in the Industry, he will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his second wife, Mary; first wife, Billye; three daughters, Leslie Cummings, Sheila Hutton, Marsha Blanchard; his parents, Fred and Bernice Cummings; brothers, Alfred and Don Cummings; and his sister, Neva Neal. He is survived by one son, Verlin Dale Cummings Jr. of Albuquerque; brother, Millard Cummings of Enid, OK; two grandsons, Lee Blanchard of Albuquerque, Kirk Blanchard of Oklahoma; his stepchildren, Terry Torrison, Ronald Williams, Kaye Williams Knapp, and Robert Williams. Verlin was a lifetime member of VFW Auxiliary Post 401, a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 99 and a longtime member of the German- American Edelweiss Club. Memorial Services will be held at 12:30 August 10, 2005 at Fiztgerald & Son Funeral Home at 3113 Carlisle NE. Interment will be at the Santa Fe National Cemetery following the service.
