BRITO -- MaryEllen Brito passed away Thursday, July 28, 2005, after a long battle with cancer. She was born January 7, 1956 in Grants, NM to Santiago and Mary Gonzales. She was preceded in death by her father, Santiago Gonzales; brother in-law, Wally Zenz; and niece, Jessica Gonzales. MaryEllen was survived by her mother, Mary Gonzales; her fiance, Ben Chavez; two daughters, Melody, Jennifer; son, Joseph Brito; grandchildren, Isaiah and Justis Abyeta; her brothers and sisters, Tony and wife, Lila, Rosita and husband, Robert Salazar, Dorella Zenz, Santiago and wife, Shirley, Merlinda and husband, Joe Olguin, Flora and husband, John Mullen, Fred and wife, Vicki, Angela, Marie H. and husband, Jerry Mazon, Albert and wife, Inez, Abelico and wife, Debi, David and wife, Angela, Edwardo and wife, Diane, Emilia and husband, Paul Fudala, Claire and husband, Eric Chavez; and 95 nieces and nephews. MaryEllen had been employed by Tri-State Generation Company in Prewitt, NM. We would like to give our many thanks to her co-workers at Tri-State Generation Company for all their support. We express our thanks to the staff at Presbyterian hospital for all the loving care they provided. She will be deeply missed by her loving mother, family, friends, and co-workers. A Rosary will be recited Sunday, July 31, 2005 at 7:00 p.m., and the Funeral Service will be held Monday, August 1, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church. Pallbearers will be her brothers: Tony, Santiago, Fred, Albert, Abelico, David, and Edwardo.
