KAUFMAN -- Edward L. Kaufman died on July 13, 2005. Mr. Kaufman was born on August 29, 1923 and lived at 7030 Ilfield SW. He is survived by his wife, Betty L. (Wine) Kaufman; children, Michael D. Kaufman, Kathleen D. Hooper, and Charles B. Kaufman; a brother, Robert Kaufman; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He enlisted in the Navy on December 7, 1942 and was discharged on October 19, 1945. He received a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Tulsa and a Masters Degree from the University of New Mexico. He worked as a geologist with oil companies and retired from Los Alamos Laboratories. He spent his retirement time playing with flight simulators and his clarinet. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 17, 2005 at Chapel of Sunrise, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE. A reception will follow at 5222 Edwards Drive NE.
