PIETRZAK -- Fred Pietrzak, age 78, and a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2005, peacefully in his home after a short but fierce battle with cancer. Born in Buffalo, NY, he moved to Albuquerque in 1978, where he and his wife owned and operated Washington Speed Wash from 1979 until his retirement in 1989. Fred was a quiet, caring man who enjoyed working with his hands, gardening, and fishing. He especially enjoyed time with all his family. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, John and Emilia, and by his brothers, Edward and Daniel. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Dolores, of the family home; daughters, Sharon Morgan and husband David of Bosque Farms, Susan Brown and husband David of Bellevue, WA; son, David and wife Renate Scharn of Tijeras; daughter, Sandra Steidl and husband Steve of Albuquerque; sister, Jenny Scott and husband Ray of Williamsville, NY; grandchildren, Jonathan, Julia, Dashon, Derek, Jeremiah, and Joshua; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Callie. His loving family held a private memorial to celebrate his life.
