ARAGON -- Michael R. Aragon, 49, of Alameda, passed to be with his Lord June 1, 2005. Mike was a U.S. Army Veteran, Teacher, Baseball and Basketball Coach, avid sports fan and participant. He graduated from University of Albuquerque with a bachelor of Arts in 1980. He is survived by his son, Michael A. Aragon; grandson, Devin; mother, Beatrice Aragon; grandmother, Merlinda Gurule; sisters, Merlinda Gallegos and Esther Basham. Also surviving are nephews, Roger and Christopher Gallegos; special friend, Barbara Gabaldon; aunts and uncles, Sylvia Garcia, Alfonso and Juanita Gurule, Henry Sanchez, Florence and Joe Archibeque, Sadie and John Whitaker; and numerous other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Aragon; grandparents, Cresenciano Gurule, Evartiso and Erlinda Aragon; and aunt, Frances Sanchez; uncle, Adrian Garcia; and cousins, Lawrence and Ricky Garcia. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 6, 2005 at 9:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Private Interment will be at the National Cemetery on Tuesday, June 7, 2005. Services were in the care of: Direct Cremation and Burial Services, 2919 4th St., 343-8008.
