LUCERO -- Pedro "Pete" Lucero, 61, a man larger than life, a resident of Albuquerque, died Friday, May 13, 2005. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Bernadine Lucero of Albuquerque; children, Ray Lucero, and his wife, Tammy, Mark Lucero and wife, Jenette, Monica Silva and husband, Bonifacio, Chris Lucero, Santiago Lucero, and wife, Amy, Samia Apodaca and husband, Leonard, Antoinette Lucero, Amy Lucero and Anthony Flores and Teresa Lucero; 17 grandchildren and one on the way; one great-grandchild; brothers, Jack Lucero and wife, Lupe, Isidro Lucero, Jeff Lucero and wife, Kellie; sisters, Anastacia Santillanes, Elizabeth Rivera and husband, Sal, Nancy Moonier and husband, Doug, Brigida Montgomery and husband, John and Betty Lucero. Mr. Lucero was preceded in death by his father, Isidro Lucero and his mother, Juanita Lucero. He owned and operated Juanita's Mexican Foods. He was known as "El Panadero" because he delivered bread for many years. He was a colorful character, full of wonderful stories. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother and grampa. Mr. Lucero enjoyed camping and fishing with his family. He loved to hang out with his grandchildren. Services will be held Thursday, 10:30 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel with Pastor Sam Sais officiating. Interment will follow at Pajarito Cemetery in Albuquerque. Pallbearers will be Ray Lucero, Mark Lucero, Santiago Lucero, Jack Lucero, Bonifacio Silva and David Moya. Honorary Pallbearers will be Angelo Lucero, Marcos Lucero, Patrick Lucero and Chris Lucero. Friends and family may visit French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, Wednesday 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. French Mortuary 1111 University Blvd. NE 843-6333
