KERR -- Scotty Tate Kerr, 46, much-loved father, brother, and friend, peacefully passed away at home on Sunday, May 8, 2005. Survived by Gail George, beloved partner and "bestest friend;" son, Clint Kerr; and daughter, Adrienne Kerr (Roberta, mother); granddaughter, Marki Ann Kerr; brothers; Michael Kerr, Chuck Kerr, Mark and wife; Bonnie Kerr; sister, Anne Kerr-Magel and husband, Bill Magel; nephews, Jon-Michael Kerr, Travis Kerr; nieces, Alexandra Magel and Amanda Magel; uncle, Jack T. Keely and his wife, Kathleen Keely; stepfather, John Sanders; and many dear friends. Pre-deceased by: John B. Kerr and Patricia Kerr-Sanders. Scotty was known as weed-hopper in his early racing days at ABQ Raceway and Speedway Park where he raced stock cars and go-karts. Jobs included: Mama-Mia, Magnum Industry, Sandoval County Sheriff Dept. Reserve, and Lieutenant at the Bernalillo County Detention Center Dept (1986-2004). Attended First Church of Christ Scientist ABQ. A long time racing fan including crewing for Creasy Family Top Fuel Funny Car Team. Enjoyed restoring his 1969 Mustang to original glory, a mechanic, welder, drummer, collector of racing memorabilia, comedian, and storyteller. Join us for a Memorial Service, bring a lawn chair and your favorite story to Altura Park, located at 4101 Aspen Ave. NE on Saturday, May 14, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers ,donations can be sent to The ALS Association, PO Box 16495, Albuq, NM 87191-6495.
