STAMM -- Elizabeth May Jones Stamm died March 17, 2005 in Albuquerque. She was born to Florence A. and Thomas G. Jones on April 7, 1919 in West Hazelton, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lee Stamm; and her daughter, Reba. She is survived by her son, James L. Stamm of San Antonio, TX; and grandchildren, Benjamin Lee Sanchez and Dacia Nicole Cunejo. Betty served in the WAC during World War II and this service brought her to Albuquerque. She married Lee Edwin Stamm on July 25, 1946 in Boalsburg, PA. The presiding minister at her wedding was Betty's father, Reverend Thomas G. Jones. Betty was employed by Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors in Albuquerque for many years. She was a very active member of Church of the Good Shepherd, UCC in Albuquerque. She sang in the choir, served in Christian education, and participated in the mission outreach of the church. Betty was a very thoughtful person who remembered everyone's special occasions with a greeting card or gift with special significance. A Celebration of Betty's life will be held at Church of the Good Shepherd, UCC, 7834 Tennyson Street NE, on Sunday, April 3, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Memorial Fund of Church of the Good Shepherd, UCC.
