CONTY -- Jimmy Conty, 91, a resident of Albuquerque since 1937, died April 1, 2005. He was 10th of 11 children born to immigrant parents. Jimmy was Catholic by faith. He retired from AT & SF Railroad in 1975 after 37 years. Jimmy is survived by his wife, Lillian Conty of Albuquerque; daughters, Rosemary Cox and Virginia Conway and her husband, Bob, Jr., all of Albuquerque; a brother, William Conty of La Junta, CO; two grandchildren, Christine Conway and Robert Vincent Conway; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in Palm Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary on Monday, April 4, 2005. A Rosary will be recited on Monday at 7:00 p.m. immediately following the visitation. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at Mt. Calvary Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Presbyterian Hospice, 8100 Constitution Ave. NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87110.
