ATKESON -- Steve "RED" Atkeson was a Roofer, spending most of his 53 years in Albuquerque, NM. On March 24, 2005, he was taken by a heart attack, to be with his sweet Mother, Janie. He was survived by father, Charles of Roswell, NM and sister, Eve. He will be missed by his Boss-Brother-Friend, Dan. Jan, the Family, all the "Guys", and his love, Patricia are feeling lost without him. Red's tall frame, husky voice, and bushy red beard made him unique. He was loyal, generous, and kind, touching many lives with his gentle humor and free spirit. He loved the Mountains, going to Garage Sales, sitting under the stars or in a Pub. His favorite thing was fishing with Dan. Whether they were on a Roof, in a boat, driving around, or looking at the water, they were usually beside each other. If Red called you friend, you were blessed. His Friends are saddened by the loss. We will miss you "Big Red." In life and death, with love, Dan, Jan, Gilly, John, Dave, Poco, Kelly, Dawn, Heather, and all the crew. I will miss your sweet Spirit every single day. Love, Mom.
