LEHMAN -- Charlene Lehman, age 80, of San Angelo, TX passed away Monday, March 21, 2005 at her residence. Charlene Jane Cummings was born to Charles and Lucinda Cummings in Hutchinson, KS on March 9, 1925. While in high school, she met Horace W. Lehman. In June of 1942, Horace entered the Air Force Cadet program, taking him to San Antonio, TX. Charlene and Horace were married in Chapel #1 on what is now Lackland AFB. They were stationed at Kirtland AFB, Albuquerque, NM, where Horace retired in 1970. They remained there until November of 1992, moving to San Angelo, TX. During their almost sixty-two years of marriage, they moved twenty-six times. Connie made not a house, but a home for her family. Charlene was a kind, thoughtful, strong, and charming lady. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. She is survived by: her husband, Col. Horace Wilson Lehman; sons: Charles Jay Lehman and wife, Doris of Huachuca City, AZ, Hal Warren Lehman and wife, Victoria of Eddy, TX, and Jon Bradley Lehman of Albuquerque, NM; daughter, Dana Kathleen MacMillan of Albuquerque, NM; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Hindman of Bullard, TX and Peggy Ipson of Derby, KS.
