SPINKS -- Michael Phillip Spinks, born July 3, 1950, died Friday March 18, 2005 in Taos, NM. Michael was born in the Panama Canal Zone and lived most of his life in New Mexico. Michael was a well known and respected engineer and ground-water hydrologist, and a principal of the consulting firm of Hydroscience Associates, Inc. since 1993. Michael previously worked for the New Mexico State Engineer Office for a number of years. As a young man, he raced cross-country motorcycles. Later he was fond of backpacking, skiing, and traveling through the west with his partner in life and in business, Maryann Wasiolek of Bernalillo, NM. Michael is survived by Maryann; his sister, Susie and her husband, Michael Lechner; niece, Kate and her children, Paige and Matthew; and nephew, Brian and his children, Aiden and Kevin, all of the San Jose area of California.
