REISFELD -- Sherry Reisfeld, 70, a resident of Albuquerque for 10 years, died suddenly on March 19, 2005. She is survived by her loving husband, Martin; three children, Belinda, Brad, and Melanie; and four grandchildren, Lauren, Jake, Ben, and Erin Rose. Mrs. Reisfeld was born in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania and attended Pennsylvania State University, where she graduated with highest honors and later obtained her Masters degree in Public Administration from University of New Mexico. She was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Mortar Board. She married Martin in 1957 and they moved to Los Alamos, where she served as a senior budget analyst for the laboratory. They retired in 1996 and moved to Albuquerque. She was very active in the Albuquerque community; serving for many years as a docent at the Rio Grand Zoo, working tirelessly for Hadassah and as well for a number of women's rights groups. Sherry had an abiding interest in government and politics, and was elected to the Los Alamos County Council. All who knew her, as a lovely, gracious lady endowed with charm, intelligence, wit, compassion, and an enthusiasm for life, will lovingly remember her. Sherry will be deeply missed by those who had contact with her. Graveside services will be held at Fairview Memorial Park, 700 Yale Blvd SE, on Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. Memorial gifts may be made to either Hadassah, 1554 Eagle Ridge Lane, NE, Alb., NM, 87122 or the Rio Grande Zoological Park, 903-10th St., SW, Alb., NM, 87102.
