LESLIE -- George C. Leslie, 82, a resident of Rio Rancho for the past 30 years, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2005. George was born June 25, 1922 the son of John and Margaret Clark Leslie in New York City, NY. George came to New Mexico from Long Island, NY. He served in the US Army during WWII. He was an active member of the Meadowlark Senior Center and a member of the American Legion Post #118 of Rio Rancho. His hobbies were shooting pool and going to coffee with the "boys." He also enjoyed traveling. George is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Doris of Rio Rancho; one son, Russell G. Leslie of Dallas, TX; and his special friends from the Meadowlark Senior Center. A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. at Vista Verde Memorial Park.
