MARX -- Julius Stanley Marx, 92, a resident of Albuquerque since 1982, died Saturday, March 6, 2005. He is survived by his son, Charles Marx and wife, Barbara of Rio Rancho; Grandson, Patrick Marx of Ft. Worth, TX; granddaughter, Dawn Rhoades of Dallas, TX; two great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Diane Healey of St. Louis, MO; and lifelong friends, Curt and Clara Hohenstein of St. Louis, MO. Julius is preceded in death by his wife, Ada Marx; his son, James Marx, and his sister, Dorothy Ragashnick. Julius was born in St. Louis, MO on March 10, 1912. He entered the United States Army in 1943 during WWII. Julius landed on Utah Beach at Normandy during D-Day. Upon his return to St. Louis, in 1946, he went to work for Hussmann Refrigeration where he worked until his retirement in April of 1972. Julius moved to Albuquerque in 1982 and enjoyed his retirement. He loved fishing and belonged to Palo Duro Senior Center's metal detection club. He also enjoyed doing leather work and was an avid bowler at Eu-Can Bowl. Julius was a beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. Tuesday, March 8, 2005 from 1:30 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held, Wednesday, March 9, 2005, 12:30 p.m. at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel.
