LEVINE -- Loretta Myra Levine, 65, of Albuquerque, born March 28, 1939 to parents, Maurice and Goldie Pearlman, died February 24, 2005, after a lengthy illness. She is survived by her son, Mark, from Michigan; daughter, Sheri, and former husband, Leonard, both from Albuquerque. As a young adult, Loretta was passionately committed to working with handicapped children as a teacher, camp director, and counselor. In later years, she became heavily involved in the Jewish temple, serving as Sisterhood society president, once at Temple Beth El, in Belmont, Mass., and twice at Congregation B'nai Israel in Albuquerque. Both a wonderful mother, and supportive wife, Loretta was also a talented artist, and incredible baker! She had the strongest will, most beautiful smile, and kindest heart. Funeral services were held February 28 at Fairview Memorial Cemetery, Albuquerque. Memorial contributions can be made to the Brain Injury Association of N.M., 121 Cardenas, Albuquerque, N.M. 87108 (www.braininjurynm.org).
