BEIER -- Bertie. Mrs. Bertie Beier, born October 26, 1920, passed away in her home Brea, CA, on December 20, 2004 after a two-year battle with cancer. Miss Bert, as she was known to her friends, retired several years ago after a 45-year career as a hairdresser, shop owner, and beauty-school teacher in Albuquerque. Miss Bert was married to Robert Beier, a newspaperman with the Albuquerque Journal, who died August 12, 2001. Miss Bert relocated to Southern California in March 2002, to be near her daughter and grandchildren. Bert had three children. Marie of LaHabra, CA, Betty of Oklahoma City, OK, and Norma, of Bedford, TX, who died of cancer in April 2001. Mrs. Beier is survived by two daughters; ten grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
