WALDEN -- Michael Jay Walden, age 27, passed away suddenly in Albuquerque on Thursday, February 24, 2005. Michael was born in Moab, UT and lived many years in Monticello, UT where he graduated from high school. He moved to Albuquerque and earned an Associate's Degree in Environmental Science at TV-I and attended University of New Mexico in pursuit of a B.A. in Biology. Michael was a gentle spirit who thoroughly loved nature, fishing and hunting, cross-country skiing, gardening, landscaping, and playing scrabble. Michael will be greatly missed by many: his mother, Janet Stover and fiance, Arturo Valente; sister Stephanie; nephew, Dominic Walden; grandmother, Dorothy Stover of Albuquerque and father, Frank Walden; grandmother, Dorothy Walden of Moab; uncle, James Stover and Lola Alires of Stanley, aunts and uncles Carolyn and Kenny Fitzsimmons; Penelope and Steve Miller of Oklahoma. Michael enjoyed a close relationship with his cousins Jenni, Anastasia, and Lillie Stover-Love, Jonni Stover, Jessieray Alires, Raelene and Abilgail Miller, Chad and Cory Fitzsimmons. Numerous great-aunts and uncles and cousins in PA, VA, UT, AZ, and CA survive him. Michael is preceded in death by both grandfathers and his uncle Wesley Jay Stover whom he was named after. Visitation for Michael will be Sunday, February 27, 2005 at the Chapel of Sunrise 7601 Wyoming Blvd., NE, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be on Monday, February 28, 2005 at All Saints Lutheran Church, 4800 All Saints Rd.
