GARVIN -- Patricia Joan Garvin, born January 20, 1938, lived a full and loving life, and died February 11, 2005, after a difficult battle with cancer. Patricia was a beloved Mother and Artist. She is survived by her six children: Rockne and Mary Garvin in Hawaii; Kim and Shawn White in Nevada; Brian and Karen Garvin, Kelly Garvin, Shannon and Mike Steckbeck, and Tiffin and Sean Perkins, all in Albuquerque. Pat also leaves behind 15 grandchildren; her mother, Eleanor Kuchers, and her brother, Donald Kuchers, both in Ohio; and many others she taught and loved. Our Mother's Hands... cradled, comforted and quieted us; squeezed, clapped, and wiped away our tears; cooked, fed, and cleaned; hugged tight, tucked in bed, and closed in prayer. Our Mother's hands... pieced, pinned, and stitched the quilts of our lives; created beauty, clung to hope, and pointed the way; held our hands, squeezed a bit, and let go... then finally waved good-bye.
