ROSS -- Pete Ross, 52, a resident of Rio Rancho, went to be with his Lord on February 6, 2005. He is survived by his wife, Anne Ross of Rio Rancho, NM; four sons, Frank Morlock and wife, Pearlette of Rio Rancho, NM, John Morlock and wife, Christine of Sterling, VA, Mat Morlock and wife, Jessica of Albuquerque, NM and Greg Ross and wife, Amanda of Rio Rancho, NM; one daughter, Misty Ross of Beaumont, TX; father, Charlie Ross and wife, Helen of Albuquerque, NM; one brother, Jeff Ross and wife, Lia of Tijeras, NM; one sister, Sally Ross of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Frankie, Imani, Timothy, Shannon, Alex, Riley, Noah, DeAnza, Zoey, Kodi, and Kylie. Pete is also survived by Charlie the monkey. He was born and raised in Albuquerque. Pete served in the US Marine Corps in Vietnam, after the war he became a NM State Police Officer. After sustaining a serious injury, Pete inspired his family when he back to college and became a Prosecuting Attorney. Pete served in the Bernalillo County District Attorney's Office until his death. Pete taught courses at several area colleges, including UNM Law Clinics. He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, and a mentor to many. He loved his family and his work. Pete lived life to its fullest and beyond. He was an active member of New Life Baptist Church since 1989. Memorial service will take place on Thursday, February 10, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at New Life Baptist Church, 6900 Los Volcanes NW with Dr. Larry Allen, officiating. Burial will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Life Baptist Academy, 6900 Los Volcanes NW, Albuquerque, NM 87121.
