TURNER -- Mary Katherine Turner was born January 7, 1927 in New York and died on her birthday, January 7, 2005. She grew up in Scarsdale, NY, and graduated from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY, where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. In 1953, she moved with her family to Bryn Mawr, PA. She worked first as head nurse in Germantown Hospital, later becoming the Director of the Personnel Department of the Reuben H. Donnelley Corporation in Philadelphia where she worked over 30 years. Her parents were Mr. Norman and Mrs. Helen Turner, long-time members of Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church. In 2004, she relocated to Albuquerque and resided at La Vida Llena. She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Joan Roberts; her brother-in-law, Dr. John Roberts; her nieces, Mrs. Susan Supple and her husband, Dr. Jeff Supple, Rev. Linda Roberts-Baca and her husband, Mr. Michael J. Baca, Mrs. Amy Roberts-Paeth and her husband, Dr. Scott Paeth; and her nephews, Dr. Thomas Roberts and his wife, Mrs. Lisa Wardein Roberts, Mr. Ben Roberts and his wife, Mrs. Molly Higgs Roberts; and 12 great-nieces and -nephews. A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel of First Presbyterian Church, 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 14, 2005, with the Rev. Linda Roberts-Baca officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the American/or International Red Cross for victims of the Tsunami Disaster.
